ON THE ISSUES
ED's Top 3 Priorities
VOTE ED DELGADO FOR ASSEMBLY!
COMMON SENSE.
SAFER STREETS.
STRONGER FAMILIES.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Every citizen has the right to feel safe in their homes, schools, going to the park, walking in their neighborhood, or shopping at the mall. I have seen many business owners and citizens become victims and see no consequences for the people who commit crime in our communities.
After 25 years in Law Enforcement, I have seen first hand that criminals benefit from “soft on crime” laws in our state. They need to know that there are real consequences for breaking the law. I support fully funding Proposition 36, which enacted tough new drug and theft laws, while getting offenders the help they may need. I'll vote to keep people safe from crime and send child predators to prison for life. In addition, I will work hard to ensure our girls are safe by banning biological boys in girls sports and locker rooms.
Affordability
Every citizen should have a shot at a middle-class life. Our citizens should not have to move out of California to be able to afford a home, or have a great quality of life. I have seen family and friends move out of state, because they cannot afford to live in CA and it’s just not fair.
I will support laws that reduce your cost of living. I support eliminating the Gas Tax, which will help make everything from food, to driving, to clothing, less expensive. I'll fight to eliminate unfair rules and regulations on housing construction so we can build affordable homes again.
Two-Party State
California has created a one-party state, currently held by a super-majority of one party. They have failed to improve the cost of living, homelessness, housing, K-12 education, and crime. If we had a two-party state, we would have checks and balances.
We need to ensure that one party does not have the veto-power to do whatever they want. I will represent the people, not an "Agenda."
